Going Up! Loading Barges On Step Decks and Flatbed
Trailers with Cranes
Exceptional oversize shipping services start with expert transport agents.
Rafael and David ensured the client had the best rigging crew in Ft. Myers. The oversize
barges required cranes to load them on the trailers safely.
Rafael and David’s experience working with oversize loads allowed them to
utilize three step deck trailers and one flatbed trailer to ship the barges. The
dimensions of the barges allow for several trailer options. Rafael and David found the
top drivers with the best trailers. The drivers all had experience hauling oversize
loads and, more specifically, barges. Once the crane operator loaded the barges onto
each trailer, the crew worked to secure each one safely. Rafael and David inspected each
one to ensure nothing was overlooked.
As soon as they determined everything good, Rafael and David took pictures,
handled the paperwork, and the drivers began the journey.
Safely Delivering Four Barges On Time to
Mississippi
It’s a 743-mile trip from Fort Myers Beach, Florida, to Moselle,
Mississippi. Without stops and traffic, it’s about an 11-hour journey. With DOT
regulations and safety checks, however, the time frame takes considerably longer.
David and Rafael checked in with each driver periodically and relayed the
necessary information to the client. Heavy Haulers updates you because we want you to
have confidence in the transport.
The barge shipments left Ft. Myers on August 28th, 2023, and arrived in
Moselle on August 30th, 2023. The two-day journey went smoothly, with no incidents.
Once in Moselle, cranes unloaded the barges, and the client called David and
Rafael to commend them on an excellent transport experience. He promised to not only use
them again for any barge shipments but to pass the word on because they did so well.
