Hauling an Oversize Drag Conveyor For a Repeat Client

Will Rivera, an expert transport specialist out of our Doral, FL office, received a call from a repeat client. After the first successful equipment delivery, the client decided to use Will for every transport their small business required.

An oversize load is any equipment or transport that exceeds the following dimensions:

Every dimension of the drag conveyor made it an oversize load. Because the length was 100 ft, Will contracted a driver with a stretch RGN that could safely fit and move the conveyor.

The client, running their own asphalt business, already had cranes ready. The client’s team used the cranes to safely load the conveyor onto the RGN trailer. The driver and crew then safely secured it using chains.

Because of the over-length nature of the load, pilot cars were contracted to escort the drag conveyor to the destination.

Safely Delivering The Drag Conveyor to Texas

The client checked in with Will a few times but already knew, from their past collaborations, that he didn’t need to worry about the transport.

The driver ensured that he followed all D.O.T. and safety guidelines, not only for the equipment, but for himself and other motorists on the road.

Will only works with experienced drivers with clean driving records. That way, every client receives top-tier safety and quality shipping standards for their equipment.

It took the driver five days to safely deliver the drag conveyor to Texas. This met the client’s deadline so he could start his project on time without any delays.
