How To Load Oversize Silos For Safe Transport
Craig contracted three highly specialized Double Drop Stretch RGN Trailers (dedicated trailers to haul silos or tanks).
It's difficult to obtain one double drop stretch RGN trailer, let alone three, but Craig has several connections and was able to partner with experienced drivers for the job.
To safely load the oversize silos onto the trailer, Craig enlisted a rigging crew to lift the silos onto the trailers with a crane.
The team took extreme care when moving the silos onto the trailers. Because of their over-dimensional size, it's easy for the simplest thing to go wrong and cause a disaster.
Craig insisted that everyone pay attention to detail and adhere to top safety standards to avoid that.
The crane operator rested the silos on metal cradles on the double drop stretch RGN trailer. Once safely resting in the cradles, to avoid rolling or shifting, the team used straps to secure each silo in place safely.
After triple checking that the team correctly secured the silos, Craig approved the convoy to embark on their 398-mile journey.
