Using Stand-Up Forklifts in Your Industry
Stand-up forklifts, also known as stand-ons and electric riders, are perfect for any operator who must get on and off the forklift frequently throughout their many transports. Plus, they work better in narrow aisles, as opposed to sit-down forklifts which are often wider. A few more benefits include saving time because no seat belt is necessary, nor do you have to set the parking brake.
The operator often has reduced neck strain when using a stand-up forklift, because they don’t have to consistently look up and around when transporting. Stand-up forklifts have better visibility then a sit-down because of the sideways stance of the operator. If your industry has the forklift reversing travel at least a quarter of the time when transporting, then a stand-up forklift might be worth investing in. Because of the visibility, the operator will have a better view of every direction the forklift needs to go, which will ideally increase the transport safety conditions.
